Expert Care PT accepts the following medical insurance:

  • Meridian Healthcare of Michigan
  • Humana Medicare (PPO/POS/HMO/PFFS)
  • Tricare East (Participating Out of Network)

Expert Care PT also offers  a self pay option for those who would benefit from Dr. Komarraju’s care, but have no insurance coverage or whose insurance is not participating.

This is an out-of-pocket payment model with transparent and straight-forward pricing. Michigan is a direct-access state. This means you can get the care you need without waiting for a physician referral to satisfy insurance requirements.

Before your first appointment

  • Make a list of questions that you have to discuss on your first visit.
  • List signs and symptoms that can be of importance to the therapist.
  • Have in writing key past medical history, previous treatments, current medications, and other important information.
  • Please verify the regulations around your payment method of choice (if HSA or FSA)
  • Arrive 15 minutes early for your first appointment.
  • Bring with you a copy of your photo ID.

WHAT TO EXPECT

We are located inside Semlow Chiropractic Troy (6780 Rochester Road, Troy, MI 48085). You will meet our front desk staff upon your arrival. They will check you in and help you with your paperwork.

Dr. Komarraju will perform a 60-minute comprehensive evaluation and work with you to create a customized plan of care. An initial treatment and home program will also be provided.

Our organization specializes in facilitating self management through education and the creation of an individualized Home Exercise Program for long term relief.  

Remember that payment is to be made at the end of the session. Cash, credit card or insurance HSA/FSA benefits card, are all accepted.

Expert Care PT also offers self-pay treatment. This means that Dr. Komarraju is able to see you immediately when you need care without waiting for a referral from your physician.

If you have insurance, you may be eligible for reimbursement from your insurance company by submitting your invoice from Expert Care PT to insurance as an out-of-network treatment. Please contact your insurance company to learn more.

By offering self-pay treatment, Dr. Komarraju is considered an out-of-network provider and Expert Care PT cannot directly bill your insurance.

However, a self-pay practice offers many benefits:

- Lower out-of-pocket costs for patients with high-deductible plans.
- Receive treatment for as long as you need it. No restrictions.
- Bill your insurance for out-of-network treatment using your invoice from Expert Care PT.

What should I wear to my PT appointment?

Please wear comfortable clothing to your appointment. Athletic clothing is always a great choice!

Can I use my Health Savings Account (HSA)/ Flexible Spending Account (FSA)?

Yes! You may use your HSA/FSA/HRA to pay for your services at Expert Care PT. Please review the rules and regulations regarding the use of funds in these accounts before your appointment to ensure eligibility.

Expert Care PT will provide you with a detailed invoice at the time of service, and you may submit this along with your payment receipt to your insurance company.

How much will my therapy cost?

If you are using insurance, the your out-of-pocket price will be determined by your copay. The below outlines pricing for those seeking private treatment.

New Patient-Evaluation + Initial Treatment: $150 for one 60-min appointment.

After the New Patient-Evaluation, you will be categorized into 1 of 3 treatment categories for each subsequent 60-minute appointment:
Orthopedic Treatment: $100/appointment
Pelvic Treatment: $100/appointment
Pregnancy-related Treatment: $100/appointment
